MALDIVES (14th MBA Championship  2006) - On Opening night of the14th MBA Championship, Sports and Recreation Club upset The Group (68 - 64) in D-1 men at Youth Centre Indoor Basketball Court.

Tournament was officially opened on 4th May (Thu) here in Male'. Total 14 teams participated in different categories.

Division 2 opening was happened on 6th Sat. Hurricane won the mach in a close margin against TC sports 75 - 74.

In the women's opening, solid Victory Sports Club dumped The Group 68 - 45.
This tournament was sponsored by DHIRAAGU (Telecom Company).

The festive is design to play 34 matches in 23 days and will tempered till 26th May.
