AMMAN (WABA U18) - Iran's U18 national team was outclassed by Yemeni juniors 77-54 on the second day of West Asia Championship, underway in Jordan.

Iran was experiencing its second loss in a row, as it was edged past 77-75 by Syria on the opening day of the event on Monday too.

Iran's head coach, Asadollah Laroudi, said in an interview, "we have been under pressure from the very moment we arrived here, facing lots problems, including getting the entry visa, officiating, etc. and it has made our players not to remain high-spirited as they were,".

Iran has three more games to play against the host, Lebanon, and Iraq on the following days.
