MOSCOW (Superleague Women) - Spanish international Nuria Martinez has left Perfumerias Avenida for Russian giants Dynamo Moscow.
The 22-year-old point guard, one of the most promising players in the Liga Femenina and one who will be crucial for Spain this season at the FIBA World Championship for Women in Brazil, turned down a contract extension with the Spanish champions and instead opted to join compatriot Amaya Valdemoro in the Superleague Women.
Valdemoro plays for Russian champions BC Volgaburmash.
"It's been a difficult decision," admitted Martinez, who captained the Salamanca team to the Spanish league title and the Copa de la Reina.
