BUENOS AIRES (Liga Nacional) - Gimnasia of Comodoro Rivadavia drew level in the final of the Liga Nacional after thrashing opponents Libertad 99-78 in Game 2.

The away victory gives Gimnasia a great chance to claim the title as they will now play the third and fourth matches at home.

However, Gimnasia coach Fernando Duro has warned his side there is still plenty of work to do.

"Nothing is defined yet. We won an important match, but nothing more. It is important because at home we are strong," he said.

Duro also singled out Jervaughn Scales for special praise after the forward/center led all players in both points (30) and rebounds (nine).

"Scales had a wonderful night, and if he improves his defence, he will play better. He played superbly, although all players were decisive," Duro added.

Gimnasia dominated from start to finish and won each of the four quarters - including a 27-16 triumph in the last period as they hammered home their advantage.

Point guard Sebastian Festa said: "This is a great team. We had a lot of players with a lot of personal fouls, but despite that we played a great match. We had a great defence and, thanks to that, we had good opportunities in attack. I am very happy to be part of this squad."

For Libertad, Roberto Lopez paced his side with 20 points and five rebounds. Lopez also collected a 20-point haul in Game 1, which his side won 80-72.
Libertad coach Eduardo Cadillac is confident his team can bounce back in Game 3.

"We were stretched many times and we suffered a lot for that. We must maintain our calm, because I know that this team will recover its morale. We will have the chance to win as visitors," he said.
