BELGRADE (Superleague) - FMP inflicted four-time Serbo-Montenegrin champions Partizan Belgrade's first defeat in this season's Superleague to gain a psychological boost ahead of the semi-finals.

With the final four already decided, FMP's ill-tempered 88-85 away victory means the top two in both Group A and Group B have identical 8-1 win-loss records with one round of group games remaining.

Wednesday's final round will determine the semi-final fixtures, although Partizan are still likely to finish top of Group A courtesy of their 83-71 victory over FMP early in the season.

Group B's final round sees top two Red Star Belgrade and Buducnost playing off for top spot, with the side from Montenegrin capital Podgorica holding an 88-85 advantage from the reverse fixture.

FMP's win at Partizan was inspired by Dusko Savanovic and Branko Cvetkovic, who scored 19 and 18 points, respectively, while league MVP Dejan Milojevic finished with 21 points for Partizan.

It was all too much for home coach Dusko Vujosevic, who was ejected after kicking a chair in anger at a refereeing decision.

However, Vujosevic turned his guns on his players rather than the officials after the game.

"I won't comment on the refereeing, because referees weren't missing free throws in crucial moments and rebounding badly," said the former national team coach, who admitted losing control.

"I was too nervous, mostly because of my own temper, partly because of the importance of the match."

In Group A's other games, Mornar beat Masinac 89-75 despite Dusan Knezevic's 20 points, while Vojvodina had Vanja Plisnic's 25 points to thank for a 91-80 victory over Borac, who will be Partizan's final regular season opponents.

Group B brought no surprises.

Red Star were once again victorious, 89-78 at Atlas, who were unable to stop the league's leading scorer Milan Gurovic as he picked up 18 points, nine rebounds and four assists.

Buducnost produced a 31-9 third-quarter run to defeat Beograd 92-79, with Vladimir Micov's 19 points leading five of his team-mates into double-figures.

Hemofarm, who parted with coach Luka Pavicevic on Thursday following their failure to reach the play-offs after being in last year's finals, achieved their first victory under the command of Miroslav Nikolic, winning 89-74 at Zdravlje.
