CONCEPCION (Centro-Sur) - Universidad de Concepcion took their unbeaten run to seven games by thrashing Deportivo Aleman 102-71 to remain top of the Centro-Sur league.

Cipriano Nunez's squad cruised through the game, with Evandro Arteaga topping the scoring charts with 27 points. Francisco Avello added 23.

The win takes them to 14 points in the standings, two ahead of Liceo Mixto, Puento Alto, Universidad Catolica and Deportivo Espanol.

Reigning champions Liceo were beaten by Deportivo Espanol 77-66 on Saturday, with 15 points poured in by duo Mauricio Cisternas and David Gonzalez for the winners.

On Sunday, Liceo edged Boston College 82-75, while Universidad Catolica won a more one-sided affair, beating Universidad de Chile 95-59.

Puente Alto, meanwhile, lost 75-61 in their Saturday visit to Universidad Catolica, but they got over it on Sunday, when they hit eighth-placed Universidad de las Americas 83-67.

Elsewhere, Deportivo Espanol thrashed rock-bottom Villa Moderna 110-74 with Nick Morales pouring in 30 points.

In other results, Universidad de las Americas hit Universidad de Chile 73-68 on Saturday, the same day that Boston College, who are sixth on the standings,

hammered Villa Moderna 91-66.
