MADRID (Liga ACB Play-Offs) - Tau Ceramica and Winterthur FC Barcelona clinched their places in the semi-finals of the Liga ACB Play-offs on Sunday.

Tau were 73-67 winners at Akasvayu Girona to seal a 3-1 series success while Barca won Game Four of their clash with Real Madrid 83-68 to also advance 3-1 overall.

Slovenian international Arriel McDonald led Girona with 21 points but it wasn't enough as Argentinian Olympic gold medalist Luis Scola poured in 24 for Tau and grabbed 17 rebounds.

Girona were ahead 37-31 at half-time but failed to cope with Tau's second half onslaught.

Juan Carlos Navarro led a balanced Barca attack with 19 points as the Catalans crushed their bitter rivals, thanks largely to a blistering start.

Barca were 31-21 ahead after the first quarter and stretched their advantage to 49-35 by the halfway mark.

Tau now meet Barca in the last four.
