TALLAHASSEE, Florida (CNN) -- The Red Cross has opened the following emergency shelters in Florida for people affected by Tropical Storm Alberto:

Alachua County:
- Kanapaha Middle School in Gainesville

Citrus County:
- Citrus High School in Inverness
- Lecanto High School and Lecanto Middle School in Lecanto

Dixie County:
- Old Town Elementary School in Old Town

Hernando County:
- Nature Coast Technical High School in Brookesville

Leon County:
- Florida High School in Tallahassee

Levy County:
- Bronson Elementary School in Bronson
- Chiefland Elementary School in Chiefland
- Williston Elementary in Williston

Pinellas County (including Tampa and St Petersburg):
- First United Methodist Church in Tarpon Springs
- Northside Baptist Church in St Petersburg
- Trinity Presbyterian Church in Clearwater

Sumter County:
- Sumter County Fairgrounds in Webster

Taylor County:
- Taylor County Elementary in Perry

Wakulla County:
- Crawfordville Elementary School in Crawfordville
