The Reel to Real Film Festival, the first Christian Film Festival in the UK, will kick off 2-5 November in Motherwell in Scotland.

The festival is expected to become an annual event that will make an important mark in the Christian calendar.

Each evening there will be a main feature aimed at an adult audience, with a children’s programme running at the same time and a late night youth feature.

Sponsored by Life Times magazine and CCLI respectively, special sessions with presentations will be held for bookstore managers and staff, and also for pastors and church leaders.

During the festival, there will be an outreach to the local primary schools in the area, with a visit from some of the characters from Veggie Tales, a series of books and videos that convey Christian ideals to children via humorous, anthropomorphic vegetable-shaped characters.

In addition, the festival will feature the UK premiere of the latest movie from the Rich Christiano company, Unidentified. The new movie has just opened in theatres in the United States.

While negotiations for another UK premiere showing are ongoing, the full schedule of showings at the festival will be released on 15 September.
