Mojave National Preserve Current Road and Trail Conditions

Updated Tuesday, October 9, 2007 — Due to storms on September 21, many of the paved roads have sand and rocks where they cross washes. For the following roads, 4-wheel drive and high-clearance is recommended:

New York Mountain Road
Cedar Canyon Road
Ivanpah Road / Lanfair Road
Wild Horse Canyon Road
It is also recommended to use high-clearance vehicles on the unpaved portion of Black Canyon Road.

Watch for wash-outs and ruts on the unpaved roads.

All campgrounds and information centers are operating normally.

Call 760 252-6101 for additional information.
