Secretary Kempthorne said, “The driving force behind the creation of our National Park System was the sheer will of the American people who set aside thousands of acres of wilderness for all to enjoy. And now, as we look forward to celebrating our 100th anniversary in 2016, it will be this same spirit of giving and public philanthropy that will keep our parks thriving for the next century.” “We are grateful to Mrs. Bush and all the leaders who are contributing their time, energy and voice to this national conversation,” added Mr. Cipolla. “There is a lot of energy in the charitable marketplace for parks right now and the National Park Foundation Leadership Summit will create a strategic forum to connect and strengthen sources of support for parks at all levels and expand the dialogue around park partnerships.”

The National Park Foundation Leadership Summit is sponsored by The Ford Motor Company, Proud Partner of America’s National Parks and International Paper, and other Foundation supporters.
